Senior Project Manager - Contract - Minnetonka

As a Project Manager within OAS, you will be responsible for working with leadership across various internal business lines to manage project plans and milestones for a specific work stream within a large enterprise.  In addition you will be responsible for managing the a benefits site redesign for with Rally, UHC and Optum. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Determine time frames, funding needs, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, allotment of resources to various phases of projects and lead others in the organization to make meaningful process improvements
  • Develop business plans and cost benefit analysis for assessment by Regional / Senior Leadership
  • Provide work stream / project oversight, manage and tracks\ issue resolution, and make key decisions for project with project sponsor
  • Facilitates status update meetings with business and IT leads, when necessary
  • Create work stream project plans
  • Evaluate project progress against project plan frequently, ensures work stream milestones are met, mitigates project risks, and resolves issues
  • Prepare weekly project status report for program manager

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise scale, complex IT projects / programs
  • 1+ years of experience with Scrum, Rally Central, or Agile
  • 1+ years of Consumer Portal experience
  • 6 months plus of healthcare (payer / provider) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experiences leading software development programs in the healthcare domain
  • Successful track record of delivering quality programs on scope, on time, on budget
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, team building and relationship management skills
  • Ability to communicate technology matters to business partners, senior executives, and strategic partners
  • Successful in obtaining results in a large corporate, heavily matrixed environment
  • Capable of gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale
  • Ability to work with internal and external development teams to deliver software solutions
  • PMP and Scrum  certification is a plus
