Senior Reporting Analyst - Omaha, NE

As Senior Reporting Analyst (SRA), you will combine exceptional business and data analysis skills with advanced report development capability. Candidate will scope reporting requirements, hold meetings with the business users, validate reports outcomes and deliver the draft for review to the business user with no or minimal follow-up; thus, owning the reporting lifecycle end-to-end.
 
 Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with individuals and teams to develop data queries for various initiatives and projects to help business teams properly identify reporting requirements
  • Design, develop, modify, support, and evaluate existing reports from various systems
  • Summarize reports into templates, dashboards and / or PowerPoint slide decks
  • Develop reports and metrics of high importance and visibility
  • Define long-term strategies for implementing process and / or reporting improvements
  • Develops systematic reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting
  • Troubleshoots data integrity issues, analyzes data for completeness to meet business needs, and proposes documented solution recommendations
  • Transfers data into meaningful, professional and easy to understand formats for various audiences
  • Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information

Required Qualifications:
  • BA / BS in Business or a related field
  • 5 years of proficient experience performing significant financial data analysis, report development, analysis of reporting processes and workflows and providing evaluations, benchmarks and / or process improvement recommendations
  • Data Analysis experience within a Medicaid health plan, government healthcare, managed care organization or insurance setting
  • Proven track record of identifying trends and opportunities in data
  • Background and experience that required high attention to detail, excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with using a Data Mart
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.
  • Intermediate skill with Visio and PowerPoint
  • Competent and capable with office products, including Access
  • Experience presenting to Health Plan Leaders, Sr. Leaders, Organizational Functional Leaders, Functional stakeholders and State partners
  • Demonstrated skills in working with multiple software tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Healthcare experience
  • 2+ Years of experience in a managed care environment
  • Experience in Medicaid health plan or government healthcare
  • Proficiency with Access
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims and benefits
  • Background and experience which required high attention to detail, excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven track record and skillset that includes strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, including executive and senior management teams
  • Experience with building positive relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
