As a Senior SDET with Optum, you will work with Software Architects and Engineers to design, develop and enhance test automation solutions to keep pace with our fast paced agile delivery, supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them

  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues

  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions

  • Performs complex conceptual analyses

  • Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement

  • Forecasts and plans resource requirements

  • Authorizes deviations from standards

  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects

  • Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues

  • Motivates and inspires other team members

  • Reviews the work of others

  • Develops innovative approaches

  • Sought out as expert

Required Qualifications:

     2+ years of Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) expert (with a proven record of experience)

     3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies

     Experience writing automated test scripts using Java along with an automation framework such as Selenium, LeanFT or UFT

     Experience with DevOps perspective on delivery (Jenkins/Maven or similar CI/CD pipeline tool)

     Strong communication collaboration and influencing skills to drive change

     BS or demonstrably equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience on test automation of APIs (SOAP/REST services)

  • Experience working with complex XML/JSON, SQL transactions

  • Experience with containerization tools such as Docker

  • Strong troubleshooting and reasoning skills; the ability to debug and resolve difficult technical problems

  • Hands on Experience with previously coaching of junior level resources on the above skills
