Description

The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional works with a broad multi-functional team to identify and address business issues and opportunities, specifically related to strategic relationships. The role provides business intelligence and strategic planning support, working across multiple business segments. The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional work assignments involve moderately complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of variable factors. Working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will partner to improve business results in conjunction with our external partners, supporting integration across care dimensions focused on improving health outcomes in our member population.

Responsibilities

Assignment: Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO)

Location: Louisville, KY or WAH possible (highly prefer Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, or Louisville, KY)

The Senior Strategy Advancement Professional will work cross-functionally with Humana clinical teams (Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work) and with external strategic partners to establish an Integrated Health System Sciences Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with a team to execute strategic relationships, starting with a significant relationship to establish an integrated health institute with a major academic partner
  • Work internally to execute governance processes for clinical partnerships
  • Devise and implement strategic priorities with the appropriate internal partners across multiple business segments, academic partners, and external partners
  • Track key metrics and develop reports for senior executives
  • Collaborate with data teams to establish appropriate protocols for leveraging Humana’s data assets with strategic partners for research
  • Support integration of Humana learning practices and recruiting practices with academic partners
  • Build positive relationships to achieve strong, sustainable results for Humana, our partners, and the people we serve

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field (e.g., Social Work, Nursing, Population Health)
  • 5+ years of experience in a health and well-being related or academic field
  • Proven self-starter, with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong presence, with the ability to influence without authority
  • Sound decision making, judgment, and proven collaboration skills
  • Self-starter who motivates others to deliver their best

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of value based and other innovative payment models
  • Understanding of integrated care delivery and how to bring diverse aspects of the care system into a holistic model to make it easy for people to achieve their best health
  • MBA or other related secondary degree
  • Prior experience in the health and well-being industry
  • Knowledge of clinical education models and inter-professional education
