Position: Service Sales Associate - Bilingual Mandarin - Dufry
Location: Newark Liberty International Airport
Job Summary Provide a complete shopping experience for our customers and provide excellent service.Key Accountabilities
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store.
  • Direct customers throughout the store or to the specific area the customer requests
  • Show how product is best-used and how to store product properly
  • Answer questions about products and discuss pricing tiers with customers
  • Give product samples, allow the customers to taste the products
  • Give accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries
  • Work to make customers, not just sales, and learn to sell by satisfying customer needs.
  • Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude and cooperate with teamwork.
  • Check stock daily to ensure that all products are adequately stocked and available for customers
  • All merchandise must be displayed nicely and orderly
  • Ensure featured merchandise is prominently displayed in each section
  • Help shop manager by suggesting alternative locations for products
  • Accurately and efficiently operate the cash register/point of sale (POS) systems
  • Your Primary Responsibility is Customer Service
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Specific Requirements
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • One or more years of previous retail experience
  • Ability to function in a fast past environment with ability lift up to 50lbs with frequent bending, lifting and long periods of time standing an/or walking.
Key Relationships
  • Daily interaction with Warehouse Manager and supervisor
  • Frequent interaction with staff, customers and vendors
Experience Required
  • Essential:
    • One or more years of retail experience and previous experience operating cash register/point of sale (POS).
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Bilingual, Mandarin
Additional or Local Requirements to Standard Role
  • Schedule availability to work early mornings (7:45 a.m. start time) or nights (2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. start time) including weekends and holidays;
  • Reliable transportation to and from Newark Liberty International Airport.
