We are seeking a motivated solutions developer to join a team of ServiceNow platform developer / administrators. This person will collaborate on the building and delivery of complex solutions on the ServiceNow SaaS platform. This individual’s primary responsibility is translating business requirements and objectives into detailed designs to deliver solutions to support business processes and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver that enjoys working with an industry leading healthcare technology company delivering high quality solutions through individual contribution and team collaboration.

In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. Predominantly you will be designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to our organization.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA
  • Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
  • Identify production and non-production application issues
  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications projects
  • Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure questions
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers
  • Function as a ServiceNow App Developer
  • Collaborate with other ServiceNow Developer / Administrators to develop solutions to support business needs
  • Adhere to development and documentation practices to promote standards and quality assurance
  • Interface with Process Teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that satisfy customer needs
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation to improve solution effectiveness
  • Provide guidance and assistance to development and operational team members
  • Work in conjunction with the Platform Operations Team on code promotion and release planning
  • Review the work of others

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of ServiceNow Application Design and Development
  • 3+ years of experience in full Software Development Life Cycle
  • 3+ years of experience with Java script development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (Vulnerability Management and Security Incident)
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management technologies (for example, SAML, SSO, LDAP, etc.)
  • Experience with any of the following: HTML, XML, and REST
  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM, and/or Waterfall environments
  • Any of the following certifications: Agile, Scaled Agile, ServiceNow System Admin, ServiceNow Application Development, ITIL v3 Foundation, and/or Advanced ITIL certifications
  • Exceptional JavaScript programming skills
  • Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional understanding of data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and design patterns
