Description

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. The Lead Site Reliability Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer coordinates software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Ensures proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical experience, or equivalent and 2+ years of project leadership experience
  • 8 years of progressive information technology experience directly related to architecture/engineering, information security, or other specialized technology field
  • 5 years of experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and/or Digital Performance Monitoring (DPM) tools, for example Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics
  • 3 years experience with tools which support aggregation of log data and monitoring data, for example Splunk, Elk, Hadoop
  • Working knowledge of tools which support monitoring of traditional data center infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of tools which support containerized workload and cloud monitoring

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience with Event Management process improvement, including aggregation of events to a "single pane of glass" and distribution of alerts to mobile devices and collaboration channels, for example Slack, Confluence, Microsoft Teams
