We all know that there's a lot more to come in the changes sweeping through the health care industry. But if change is going to shape our world, it's comforting to know that we're shaping the change.
As part of the Information Solutions Group within Underwriting & Pricing, our mission is to provide the technical tools, subject matter expertise, and user support needed for underwriters and actuaries to accurately and efficiently produce appropriate health care rates and supporting exhibits for our small and large group clients. Specifically, this position supports the restructuring and development of a new rating and renewal system for UMR (ASO) business. The position requires an understanding of the underwriting and data needs of the business, technology alternatives, and relevant development and programming experience. The individual will play a leading role, working with business partners, to develop a long-term strategy for the successful design, building, testing, and deployment of that system. In addition, more immediate, short-term enhancements to the existing system will also be developed and implemented by this position. Manual and labor-intensive processes required today to use the tools need to be replaced with more robust and automated models.
