The purpose of this position is to help people live their lives to the fullest by helping facilitate the delivery of informational, educational or promotional materials that provide a superior member experience, motivate and engage members, and ensure we bring innovative print and fulfillment solutions in a timely, accurate, effective, and efficient manner.   
 
The primary focus of the Sr. Business Analyst is to develop, enhance and maintain cost effective, scalable reporting delivery systems such as Tableau that are designed to ensure accurate and efficient on-time delivery of Optum metrics.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build & design Tableau dashboards working with a variety of stakeholders
  • Maintain existing Tableau dashboards and develop in depth knowledge a variety of data sources
  • Support reporting needs of internal and external customers as requested
  • Create and maintain monthly executive-ready business scorecards; pulling together cross-functional business performance into one centralized source of truth.
  • Executing on the overall vision and strategy determined by management to develop systems, tools and processes that deliver quality and engaging information.
  • Gather requirements from business, identify business gaps, build process flowcharts, perform business analysis, develop reports, configure applications, and prepare functional specifications.
  • Support the overall business goals of Optum by performing additional duties as assigned or requested

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience using MS Outlook, MS Visio & MS Word
  • Effective, clear communication skills both verbal & written
  • Experience using MS Outlook, MS Visio & MS Word
  • Experience documenting processes & procedures, including workflows
  • Experience interfacing with business decision-makers & system end-users to prioritize and achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience arranging & facilitating meetings & presenting in front of an audience
  • Proven ability to manage own workload, prioritize & meet deadlines while responding to demands of multiple customers (internal & external)
  • Proven ability to innovate, improve/enhance processes, finding more effective/efficient ways of reaching business goals
  • Experience graphing data, producing visuals & stories to make numbers understandable to varying audiences.  
  • Self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, process planning, decision making & implementation skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  •  including experience completing repetitive tasks with precision & consistency
  • Independent worker, who can rely on extensive experience & judgment to plan & accomplish goals
  • Must be available to travel occasionally on business

  • Experience in mentoring and training others
