The Sr. Business Analyst provides operational support and acts as a data security technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the UHC business-focused Data Loss Prevention (DLP) governance team.  Collaborates closely with Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team with rollout of new Secure Share program.  Supports the establishment of a small centralized UHC DLP governance team to ensure effective controls are in place and working effectively for Secure share usage, including the onboarding of all Acquired Entity users.  Establish monitoring to analyze adherence to Secure Share policies, trends of non-compliance and playbook establishment to drive educational awareness in both technical and administrative nature.  Ensures vendor data transmissions are in compliance with Secure Share policies.  In partnership with UHC Privacy and other teams, assists with Incident Management analysis.  Facilitates educational sessions to UHC user community relative to Data as Rest (DaR) violation remediation.  Drives awareness of DaR best practices and supports the effort to find alternative methods of storage.  Supports DLP governance team in development of UHC access monitoring to ensure individual access is granted through effective verification process and is terminated in a timely manner.  Defines technical and operational access protocol standards while supporting educational awareness to UHC community.  Partners with Enterprise Information Security (EIS) to review access to applications, services and remote access.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serves as a business-focused data security technical resource on DLP and DaR including secure methods of delivery, policies and data classification
  • Collaborates with Enterprise IT security teams to implement and help operate effective UHC data security governance for DLP and DaR
  • Supports development of Secure Share compliance monitoring program
  • Monitors and reports on Secure Share compliance across UHC
  • Engages Acquired Entities for Secure Share education and adherence
  • Develops playbooks and training materials for Secure Share education and DaR education
  • Review Secure Share reports to identify actionable trends
  • Identify non-adherence to Secure Share policies and locate user’s manager
  • Communicate to business leaders and track outreach
  • Pull reports, identifying where there is a lack of vendor risk assessment, partner with EIS to initiate assessment
  • Access reports to determine what, if any, critical risks are present with acquired entity vendors and follow process to report those critical risks
  • Research all new Tier 1 vendor engagements and notify appropriate team members with applicable details relative to the engagement
  • Notify Vendor Relationship Owners of all new Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendor engagements and support education awareness of Secure Share program
  • Monitor and address emails received in the team group mailbox
  • Review all Tier 1 vendor news alerts for incidents and vendor mergers
  • Drive vendor operational remediation with VRO for vendors with incidents that impact UHC

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis / operations / governance
  • Strong knowledge of information data security controls including those surrounding Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and Payment Card Industry standards (PCI)
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow, and evaluation of business process
  • Strong technical skills
  • Intermediate PC skills (Power Point, Word, Excel, Intranet) required

  • Proven ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and / or inaccurate data
