The Transformation organization helps the broader UHC Operations prioritize efforts, organize select initiatives into cohesive programs and manage those programs across operations and business partners to help drive process and quality improvement at speed.  We partner with UHC leaders in areas such as Claims, Provider, and Consumer Service, with shared accountability for results.  The Transformation team fosters a diverse group of Operations, Consulting, Strategic, and Program Management professionals who are leading and working as part of larger teams with complimentary resources from across the UnitedHealth Group enterprise. 
 
Projects focus across a range of our business’ most pressing issues and opportunities, whether that is reducing transaction handling times; improving consumer, broker, or employer service; driving further operational efficiencies; assisting with medical cost affordability; or maintaining regulatory compliance.  The team brings diverse health care, consulting, process improvement, operations, and program management expertise. These skills, when joined with the deep knowledge of our business partners, enable a comprehensive approach to supporting some of UHC’s most critical change programs.

The Business Analyst works in the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to support and manage a variety of Transformation programs. Candidates for this role must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Cross-functional communication and coordination across all areas of the organization including business operations, relationship management, finance, human capital, legal, technology, and sales is also required.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support planning, management, implementation and transition of business-critical projects
  • Support Value Stream teams in adding and updating cost management subscriptions
  • Generate Value Stream reporting, dashboards, and workbooks to support bi-weekly and on-demand data needs
  • Design and develop reports, graphs, visuals and other communications representing project progress, issues and resolutions for project teams, senior leadership and executive management
  • Plan and implement communications to report project progress to all stakeholders
  • Generate weekly reporting to assess progress and results of cost superiority initiatives
  • Perform other duties as required
 

 


Required Qualifications:
  • BA Degree required in a related field
  • 3+ years of project management and leadership experience
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to develop complex communications, visuals and planning materials
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to a variety of office locations for on-site business process analysis and review coordination

  • Team player with a great sense of humor
  • Motivated, self-managed, self-starter who thrives in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global team members and geographically diverse teams
  • Ability to multitask and navigate competing priorities independently
