Sr Compensation Analyst

H&R Block, the world’s leader in tax preparation services, is looking for a Sr Compensation Analyst whose primary responsibilities include the stock plan administration, global mobility, domestic relocation and recognition programs. At HRB, Total Rewards is a very important function! Our team provides valuable programs to reward and recognize upwards of 70,000 seasonal professionals every year which means we are a critical and valued part of our business. This redesigned position is located at our corporate headquarters, in the premier downtown Power & Light district of Kansas City, where everything is either steps or a streetcar ride away.  

  1. Administer equity plans for global employee base and board of directors by working closely with legal, finance and payroll. 
  2. Maintain employee equity database, complete transactions, run required reports and ensure internal controls are in place and followed.
  3. Assist with year-end processes and schedules for proxy and statutory reporting related to the company's equity plans and stock-based compensation. 
  4. Prepare and distribute grant documentation and agreements for new-hire and ongoing grants. Work on special projects related to equity granting and reporting.
  5. Manage domestic relocation and global mobility services including executive relocations, non-executive relocations, managing Expat assignments, weekly payroll and AP reporting. 
  6. Develop and administer service award and recognition programs.
  7. Support overall compensation program including jobs definition and market pricing process.  Educate/counsel management and support staff on effective use of market data and ensure proper application of salary management guidelines. 
  8. Participate in appropriate surveys to maintain adequate and current market data base for job pricing and decision-making.  Remain abreast of total compensation packages in the market and recommend changes that keep Block competitive 
  9. Assist in administration of annual merit and short-term incentive programs. 


Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  2. Five plus years related experience in stock plan administration. 
  3. Experience in domestic and global relocation. 
  4. Experience in compensation administration either in a large organization with diverse constituencies. 
  5. Project management and finance skills, with ability to successfully manage multiple projects to established deadlines.  
  6. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Effective presentation skills to all levels of the organization. 
  7. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. 
  8. Thorough working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point. 
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). 
  2. Experience using PeopleSoft HRMS and Fidelity Stock Plan Administration System
