Support the business in the design, development, implementation and administration of compensation programs related to base salary, annual cash bonus plans, rewards and recognition initiatives, sales compensation, equity compensation.  Staying ahead of market trends and providing proactive solutions to help drive key business initiatives and priorities

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Director of Compensation to proactively identify value added compensation initiatives
  • Works on complex compensation projects related to compensation.  Independently drives and completes the projects with little to no oversight
  • Independently leads mergers and acquisition efforts to include due diligence and integration activities
  • Works directly with Human Capital Partners on field initiated projects to drive business results, generally with no oversight
  • Evaluates new jobs for appropriate title and grade, typically at the manager and director levels
  • Remain abreast of best practices and thought in the compensation field
  • Assist in the design of new and/or revised incentive or reward and recognition programs
  • Work with Compensation Director to lead annual common review process, including planning, communications, analysis and management of key process areas
  • Design and deliver training to managers, Human Capital partners and associates
  • Ensure programs and plans are competitive, cost effective, drive and reward a high performance culture and are aligned with UHG’s current and future strategic direction

 


Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Business or Human Resources related field or equivalent compensation experience
  • 3+ years of professional Human Resources experience
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or comparable ERP System

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in leading leading moderately complex projects
  • Compensation experience
  • Specific technical expertise in a multiple of the following: Salary survey participation, market data analysis, leading moderately complex projects, job evaluation, salary range analysis, and HRIS reporting
  • Experience leading and working effectively within teams and across the organization
  • Experience leading and mentoring others
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • Professional certifications, such as CCP
