The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is an individual membership professional organization representing more than 100,000 member physical therapists (PTs), physical therapist assistants (PTAs), and students of physical therapy. The Coordinator provides administrative support for thespecialist recertification program and maintenance of specialist certification (MOSC) within the Postprofessional Credentialing Division of the Education Department.
· Conducts initial staff review of specialist recertification application materials.
· Prepares and submits application materials for specialty council to review/evaluate recertification.
· Serves as primary liaison to relevant APTA sections, monitoring website content and providing current info. to the recertification and MOSC programs.
· Answers telephones and responds to correspondence and general information requests from recertification applicants and board certified specialists.
· Assists with survey development/distribution and promotional mailings for recertification and MOSC programs.
· Assists with event coordination and preparation of program materials for annual meeting.
· Supports marketing and promotional efforts for the recertification/MOSC programs.
· Minimum of 3 years' administrative experience
· Strong administrative and data management skills
· Excellent organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines
· Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills
