We are seeking an experienced innovative marketer and content strategist who can lead the team responsible for content strategy, curating, syndicating, and creating content to drive consumer engagement for our consumer health service products.    This strategic marketing role will work closely with key business partners, consumer experience design, digital product managers, and marketing managers to create engaging consumer healthcare experiences.  The ideal candidate will be highly strategic, creative, and have an innovative entrepreneurial spirit who is self-motivated and constantly seeking out and identifying opportunities to drive transform an organization to understand and meet consumer needs in one of the most intimate categories in a consumer’s life, health. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversees all content and copywriting initiatives, across all channels supporting multiple lines of businesses to drive member engagement and positive consumer NPS
  • Supervising copywriters and content strategists; be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
  • Evolve our digital writers’ guidelines while building out the digital copywriting skills on the team
  • Work with a cross-functional team to develop useful and unique content to build a lasting relationship with our members on their journey to better health
  • Work closely with creative director to ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style and tone of voice while meeting health literacy standards, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, and email
  • Establish workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content by partnering with user experience design, digital product and marketing to create behavior changing consumer experiences
  • Establish measurement plan for content to validate the content created is having the desired impact on consumer behavior
  • Lead the strategy behind our content service ecosystem development efforts including improvements in the tools, people and processes surrounding content management to order to personalize member experiences by leveraging advance analytic and consumer data
  • Work with marketing operations and technical team to implement appropriate CMS and other technical tools to advance our personalization efforts across the organization
  • Oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across a project life cycle. This can include conducting content audits (qualitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) as well as gap analyses
  • Create and maintain taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans.
  • Responsible for developing business cases to advance the development of core content capabilities and assisting with the technical integration of content tools and technologies
  • Develop standards, systems and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content repurposing, including the real- time implementation of content strategies
  • Provide executive leadership speaking support aligned with the company’s overall content strategy

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • 8 + years experience overseeing the development of consumer content for use in a variety of channels
  • 5+ years experience building and leading high performance content teams.
  • Leadership experience including demonstrated ability to manage budgets, projects, and the development of direct reports
  • Experience developing content strategies to support digital marketing and experiences.
  • Successful track record of building teams and internal partnerships
  • Consumer centric leader who can sell ideas to senior leadership in order to advance our consumer agenda.
  • Data-driven and capable of pivoting in response to how consumers are responding to our content.
  • Proven success in implementing plans effectively in a matrix organization
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and establish process and structure to help the team operate more effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong communications skills to present compelling case when offering up ideas and development opportunities to senior leaders
  • Standout idea generator and problem solver with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to understand consumer insights and distill it into compelling and clear messaging to engage consumers
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Global content expertise to organize and plan content to meet the needs of varied markets/marketplaces
  • Experience related to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills
  • Experience implementing content management systems
