Sr. Tech Support Analyst, UHC Benefit Ops - Telecommute in DC, MD or VA

Sr. Tech Support Analyst will be positioned within Business Optimization & Technology to ensure stability in the production environment supporting critical business application(s). 

 

If you are located in D.C., MD or VA you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all production related activities
  • Provide assistance in critical production issue resolution both (Priority 1 and Priority 2)
  • Responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability on a 7x24 by 365 basis
  • Ensure that the deliverables into production environment are built with the highest quality
  • Ensure timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding SLA’s.
  • Work with business to prioritize production issues for resolution.
  • Assist Application Manager/Development Lead in providing management status reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensure that all documentation has been updated and that work product meets UDP / SOX compliance requirements
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.
  • Act as a liaison between development resources and business
  • Provide estimates on all break/fix, and problem-management activities.
  • Identify application performance improvement initiatives and implement the same in consultation with the Application Manager.
  • Work with the Application Manager/Development Lead in process improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT working on operation support and/or Development
  • Web services, web development and/or support of .net environment applications especially MVC with a strong SQL, reporting and analytical skills
  • Knowledge in Oracle and/or SQL Server databases
  • Batch jobs/Scheduling (Tivoli/TWS)
  • Production Support responsibility, at a high level, includes application availability, reliability and stability on a 7x24 by 365 basis (includes weekends/holidays)
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC processes
  • Understanding Incident management and Problem Management
  • Ability to lead technical meetings for high profile issues, as well as provide technical direction towards resolving issues
  • Have performed troubleshooting in a development or production support role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with New Relic or HP Application Monitoring tools
  • Dynatrace and/or DCRUM
  • Experience with ServiceNow ticketing application
  • Experience with SSRS reports and SSIS jobs
  • Healthcare experience
