Staff Development and Infection Control Coordinator

As Staff Development Coordinator you have a passion for training and developing direct care staff to promote excellence in resident care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements. The position identifies, prepares, presents and/or arranges presenter(s) for the training and development programs that are needed for the community. In addition, you are responsible for the management and implementation of the facility's Infection Control Program used to monitor, track and trend the facilit's infections.

Job Requirement

Qualified applicants are required to be graduates a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses. Current State Licensure in the state where practicing is required.  Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications are required. Current First Aid certification is required or must be willing and able to become First Aid certified.  3-5 years of experience working with the geriatric population is required.  Previous experience in staff development or program development experience is preferred.  Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community operations.  All applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented enviroment.  Uses a resident and customer-focused approach to problem-solving and goal-setting. Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office.
