Client Interactions Operations Associate - Washington, DC

The Provider Growth Strategic Accounts team within Optum Insight is looking to hire Client Interactions Operations Associate. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and will be responsible for project managing high visibility executive strategic retreats with top clients. This role will provide you with opportunities to grow your project management skills, client relationship skills, healthcare industry knowledge, communication skills, critical thinking skills, and collaboration skills, all within an innovative business development model.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages all logistics prior, during, and after VIP day (member dinners, travel, catering, handouts, etc.)
  • Manages VIP day master calendar and tracks all requests on Master calendar (including 'hold' dates and updates in Salesforce)
  • Manages all follow through logistics, including Salesforce updates
  • Schedules debrief sessions between relevant participants, including Team Larsen, Principal, CE, Research & Insights and Account Management
  • Schedule pre - wire phone appointments and visits between relevant participants, including Team Larsen, Principal, CE, Research & Insights and Account Management
  • Schedules internal VIP day planning and follow - up calls (post - VIP day debriefs)
  • Schedules VIP day speakers and sends along calendar appointments with detailed responsibilities to all staffers participating in the VIP day
  • Manages status of recruitment of members to VIP days with principals and CEs in territory, and participates in meetings to drive recruitment and next steps
  • Maintains up - to - date VIP day tracker to ensure status of active VIP days is accurately reflecting
  • Oversees in - take email box
  • As needed, receives and organizes materials and data (such as materials sent to ABC via NDA) from VIP day member org, and distributes those materials to relevant internal parties within R & I, PT, Solutions, DAG, etc

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1+ years work experience in a fast - paced office environment or other professional setting
  • Experience managing multiple projects, competing priorities
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Customer Service, sales and / or fundraising experience
  • Project Management or event management experience
  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Experience coordinating executive events
  • Experience making travel arrangements for senior leaders
  • Ability to communicate effectively by email and phone in a business setting
