Title Supervisor Corporate Claims Operations Position Posting Location Buffalo Status Full Time Regular Hours Flexible Job Description This position is responsible for supervising the activities of their respective Corporate Claims department. The incumbent will supervise daily activity of staff, and departmental activities. The supervisor will handle questions and inquiries from the staff as well as from other departments and external constituents. The incumbent will also assist in communicating and educating the front line staff as well as the distribution of work assignments and monitoring staff productivity. Primary Responsibility Effectively supervise, delegate, motivate and direct staff to provide support and assure smooth, efficient workflow. Assist, train and raise the level of employee performance and provide constructive feedback through accurate assessment of staff performance. Evaluates performance, reward and recognition, disciplinary actions, employee staffing levels (hiring, terminations) within the department. Distributes work assignments and monitors staff productivity. Complies with, administers and communicates company policies, rules and regulations with staff. Supervises the activities of the department in order to ensure that tasks and assignments are performed as required. Assists on team and special projects assigned by upper management. Participate in unit staff meetings and share information and data as requested. Attend other departmental meetings as required. Update and document departmental information and communicate as appropriate. Minimum of 1 year previous supervisory experience or significant experience in leading projects or performing in a lead role in an operational business department is required.
