California MENTOR is seeking a Health Services Supervisor to oversee two or more RNs and/or LPNs/LVNs including interviewing, hiring and scheduling while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Health Services Supervisors monitor the health and medical condition of individuals with disabilities and medical complexities served. The Health Services Supervisor also manages the administration of medications, performance of physicals, provision of treatments and scheduling of medical appointments. If licensed as an LPN or LVN, manages administration of medications, physicals and provision of medical treatments in collaboration with an RN.Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing
school or nursing program and have three years of related experience.
- Current RN license in good standing with the
state of California
- One year of clinical experience working with
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- Three years’ experience in acute care
- Job requires performance of duties that
involve potential for exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Tasks that do
involve exposure are an expectation of employment.
- Ability to carry out medical services to meet
the on-going needs of individuals served
- Ability to communicate effectively with
individual’s families, health care team and leadership
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass background investigation that
includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check
