As a member of UnitedHealth Group’s Enterprise Occupational Health & Safety team, the EOHS Clinical Technology Systems Administrator is responsible for managing the EOHS occupational health management system, Medgate, as well as supporting various processes to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards across the enterprise. The position requires a blend of technology and public health or nursing skills. The primary focus will be on building out Medgate capabilities for enterprise businesses and managing day-to-day reporting, changes and maintenance needs. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining databases; developing and maintaining computer-based training courses; assisting in the creation of health education collateral; and managing web-based resources and applications. The position will also be tasked with sharing workload of daily nursing duties, which includes responding to employee health or policy inquiries, reviewing and triaging employee health questionnaires, and facilitating follow-up care with clinics or labs for employees to complete occupational health requirements. This position contributes to company efforts to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements and minimize risk to employees, patients and the environment, thereby reducing company liability and associated costs.

 

This team is part of a new area with exponentially growing business demands and is ideal for candidates who thrive in unstructured, ever-evolving environments. The EOHS Clinical Technology Systems Administrator position will reside in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

 

If you are located in Minnetonka, MN you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Cority (formerly Medgate) system, including troubleshooting problems, building programs, defining business requirements, implementing business rules, reporting, optimizing system utilization, and other processes to support system utilization

  • Ongoing maintenance and improvement of existing programs and processes

  • Working with interdisciplinary teams to develop clear processes and document flows in Visio

  • Building and maintaining various electronic forms

  • Maintaining department policies in the electronic policy repository

  • Creating job aids and training materials to support system users and customers/end-users

  • Working with internal technology partners and external vendors to innovate and implement custom solutions

  • Troubleshooting and resolving daily technical issues

  • Conducting periodic audits of databases to ensure data integrity

  • Ensuring compliance with data security standards and policies

  • Updating and maintaining EOHS intranet site and related SharePoint pages

  • Other technical and administrative support, as needed


 Required Qualifications:

  • College Degree

  • 3 or more years of experience working with relational databases including data integrity management, utilizing functions, creating and modifying queries, creating and modifying architecture

  • 3 or more years of experience supporting Occupational Health Management System including configuring and using Occupational Health and Safety modules

  • 2 or more years experience creating and modifying advanced reports including ad hoc reporting and data integrity management within multiple systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in a clinic, public health or other health care setting

  • Experience with Medgate/Cority system

  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including data analysis, pivot tables

  • Advanced Microsoft Access capabilities, including building databases, writing queries, data manipulation and reporting

  • Proficient with Visio to create and/or modify workflows, flow charts

  • SharePoint experience

  • Knowledge of OSHA and Occupational Health and Safety standards

  • HIPAA training

  • Knowledge of public health and/or clinical processes related to infectious diseases, occupational health and environmental safety
