As a Technical Business Analyst you will collaborate with a team of programmers to develop and design reports to support UHC Pharmacy analytics-driven solutions. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams
  • Understand and clarify a business / technology problem
  • Organize, lead and coordinate activities with business customers to gather detailed requirements from through interviews, documentation and working sessions
  • Ensure high quality up-to-date requirements and documentation
  • Identify ambiguity in requirements documents / specifications
  • Identify changes in project scope and other impacts on the project
  • Develop and groom user stories as a business representative
  • Collaborate with a technical lead to prepare technical specifications
  • Perform formal acceptance of the internal project deliverables (PO signoff)
  • Perform formal delivery to business customers (presentations, documentations, and demos)
  • Participate in primary data sources research and select relevant information


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+  years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst gathering and documenting technical requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with the following:
    • read / understand SAS and/or SQL scripts
    • report basic analytics via SAS procedure or SQL queries
    • work with database dictionaries
    • look up for variables range and distribution
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, and database structures and data analysis
  • Familiarity with UHG resources such as  UDW, UGAP and NHI
  • 1+ years of health care experience working with medical and/or pharmacy claims
  • Effective communication skills, including interfacing with clients, writing business cases and user stories, excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong documentation, presentation and active listening skills, attention to details
