As a Full-Time Technical Writer and Trainer, you will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training material.  .  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Writes literature and materials to be used for IT associated programs and knowledge articles
  • Maintains the complete database of training manuals and knowledge articles to ensure best practices
  • Perform technical training to the organization for multiple systems as needed, or as new systems implemented
  • Create, organize, edit and maintain the appropriate training guides and knowledge articles
  • Revise documents as new issues arise and maintain those documents on an annual basis
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a software life cycle
  • Conduct the computer training for new users.  Conduct both classroom and departmental training sessions for current curriculum
  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background materials, instructional materials and training guides
  • Create on-line or self-paced elearning modules with Captivate and ServiceNow



  • Post high school education
  • Minimum of 1 year work-related experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning styles, methods of training, and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of Office products
  • Basic knowledge of convenience store industry
  • Knowledge of general business practices
  • Experience in development and delivery of training materials
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills\
  • Accurate and detail orientated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with users
  • Development staff and technical staff
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Project Management


Work schedule:  Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
