Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)   We are currently hiring a Senior Teradata/ Informatica Administrator for our Optum State Government group.  In this role, you will be working on developing and architecting the Commonwealth of Virginia Medicaid Data Warehouse and data interfaces with other vendors, working at the forefront of technology in a high growth industry.   

If you are located near our offices in Richmond, VA or the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to Richmond, VA, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain appropriate system infrastructure, data architecture, ETL design, data modeling, and reporting capability of the Medicaid Management Information System
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of system infrastructure , data architecture, ETL processes, data modeling, and reporting capabilities as well as providing oversight
  • Provide leadership and supervision on all data interfaces
  • Act as primary liaison with Optum Enterprise Technology for the implementation, operation and support of all hardware, software and virtual environments
  • Ensure the team’s use of Optum’s ServiceNow implementation aligns with the project requirements
  • Support a team of ETL developers and develop ETL programs
  • Support a team of Database and BI Report developers
  • Ensure HIPAA and MARS-E 2.0 compliance is maintained across all technologies used to provide services of the Commonwealth of Virginia


Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Teradata development or administration experience

  • 3+ years of Unix experience

  • Must reside or be willing to reside near our offices in Richmond, VA or the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to Richmond, VA

  • Ability to lead and guide other developers

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Medicaid, MMIS development, management of projects that required collaboration with other vendors and management of projects of similar size and complexity

  • Experience with ERWin or other Data Modeling tool

  • Experience with healthcare industry

  • Extensive experience working with system engineering teams to configure VPNs, dedicated circuits, routers, firewalls, load balancers, etc.

  • 2+ years of Informatica development or Informatica administration experience

  • Teradata Certification
