Position Summary

We are seeking a Web Developer Consultant for our Basking Ridge, NJ location to responsible for collaborating with product owners, systems analysts and software engineers to develop test scenarios as part of an agile scrum team. Other job duties include; (1) analyzing software specifications in an agile environment; (2) working with architects and software engineers to evaluate functional and non-functional requirements and ensure the solutions are testable and ensure high quality; (3) designing and developing test code and software to support testing activities which are integrated with our continuous delivery pipelines; (4) maintaining and utilizing Java J2EE development tools, such as API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Usability; (5) participating in and providing input for system analysis, design walkthroughs and code reviews; (6) participating in defect review and triage; and (7) ensuring all Java related issues are resolved in a timely manner.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 years related experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently.
  • Must also have 12 months demonstrated ability with each of the following: 1) Using Java J2EE to design, code, test, debug, document and support the legacy myUHC member portal;  2) Database management including creating and maintaining DDL and DML scripts to manage database to support the myUHC member portal; 3) Web services including implementation of code to consume Restful and SOAP-base web services to provide response data back to User Interface; 4) Client side JavaScript including developing and maintaining JavaScript cod to perform web page functionalities including input validation and manipulate events; and 5) Mobile web including development and maintenance of Cascaded Style Sheets functionalities in order to manage UI responsive web design to enhance the user experience.
