This Business Initiative Consultant role will partner with the WDO (Wholesale Data Ecosystems) teams to review and analyze existing business processes, and their related application data points, to help identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements. This person will work with the various groups to define solutions to remediate process gaps that impact effective execution and support of our Wholesale data. They will also interface with external partners, including WF internal audit, to understand issues requiring immediate remediation and sustainability.

This role will also be responsible for documenting the process changes the teams need to implement in order to ensure the teams within the Wholesale data office are streamlined, auditable and support the fast-paced execution roadmaps. This includes:

  • Leading cross functional business process information gathering sessions and working with teams to identify key data and process gaps
  • Manage the coordination with various data platform owners within the organization and lead deep dive sessions to understand process and reporting gaps
  • Provide analysis and communicate recommendations for efficiency gains and process improvements with partners or stakeholders.
  • Providing support for data analysis and reporting around key process areas including operational efficiency, vendor data usage, internal data consistency and other topic areas
  • Act as the front-line of communication and requirements to the Stakeholders as well as work to make recommendations based on findings
  • Lead process development or re-engineering efforts across the WDO organization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Leading cross functional business process information gathering sessions and working with teams to identify key data and process gaps
  • Providing support for data analysis and reporting around key process areas including operational efficiency, vendor data usage, internal data consistency and other topic areas
  • Lead process development or re-engineering efforts across the WDO organization

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
Other Desired Qualifications
  • 6+ years leading process design initiatives, process mapping experience and process execution
  • 6+ years’ experience with managing projects as part of data integration and/or data remediation processes, vendor data integration, and manual data processes
  • 5+ years’ experience partnering with partners/stakeholders to document business processes and resolution options
  • 3+ years’ experience in the WDO data ecosystem (e.g. experience with one or more of WCIS, WDM, iHub)
  • 3+ years’ experience audit analysis and coordination experience
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
  • Refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
